Head Shots of Dana

FIrst off, I want to apologize that it's been so long since I have put up my last post. I have been so busy these days with shoots, weddings, editing, album designs and such. I have been so excited about my recent portrait sessions that I'd like to share some of the photos with you all.

I have been doing weddings... A LOT of weddings and as much as I love weddings, I wanted to start focusing another important aspect of life...the beauty of women. Women are such beautiful creatures, are they not!!?? No matter who she is, where she comes from, how old she is, what size she is, or how she looks on the outside, I have come to learn a lot about women. Since I get to work hand-in-hand with so many women, there is a common theme in them all - sadly it's not a very a positive one. This "revelation" will come to no surprise to you, especially if you are a woman. Just about at every shoot, no matter who the woman is, I get the same requests over and over again... "make me look better", "get the good side of me", "don't shoot from that angel, it'll make me look fat", "don't get too close up to my face", "avoid my big ugly butt", "I hate my nose", "my tummy is so fat", "does my hair look good?", "am I wearing enough make-up?" and so on and so on and so on. The list is endless. No matter how beautiful a woman is, when I am taking her picture she doesn't see her beauty. The tiniest of women think they are so fat. The most vulouptous women think they are not attractive or not attractive enough. To my shame, I can't say I am any different from these women. So, what is it that makes us so critical of ourselves? Why do we beat ourselves up so much? Out of all the questions I'd like answers to, the most important question for me now is this....

How can I help these women to see how beautiful they are?

To see even within myself, how beautiful I am too. Being vibrantly georgous and sexy comes so much more than from the physical appearances we carry on the outside. True, it helps if you're a size 2 and have almost perfectly flawless skin, but come on, beauty alone doesn't just come within a number or how smooth your skin is. Beauty comes from "who" you are. "What" you are. And "How" you are.

So, it is my new mission to "show" the women in the world how beautiful they truly are! Here's what I am going to do and if by any chance you can help me by participating in my new mission, please do not shy away from contacting me. I am starting a new photo series of capturing women in a boudoir session. Boudoir means "A woman's private sitting room, dressing room, or bedroom." These three rooms described in a woman's home are secure, special, private, and intimate. A woman undresses in her bedroom or closet. She lets it all go, strips the outer shell to reveal what is beneath all the coverings. She is beauty. She is vulnerable. She is sexy. She is captivating. She is... woman.

Men marvel at the beauty of a woman, they thirst, hunger, and even starve for the affection and beauty of a woman. There are more paintings, photos, magazines and movies geared towards showing the woman's body more so then there are of men. No other creature alive on earth is as mysterious, erotic, vibrant, sensual and breath taking as women are.

So, ladies, as I am assuming most of my readers are women, please come with me as I embark upon the true beauty of woman. I am starting a series of boudoir photo sessions from now till I have enough photos to show the world (ok, not all of the world, just part of it), just how incredible a woman is. I need your help - so as my thanks for participating in this new mission of mine, I am going to offer my normal boudoir packages at HALF OFF. To extend my extra gratitude even further, I am also going to include a FREE dvd of all your photos for you to keep!

Think about this, you can have beautiful photos of you that you will transform the way you look at yourself. I really want YOU to see YOU for who you really are... and that is beauty. And if you're married, what a great way to spice things up between you and your husband by showing him his beautiful wife in print. Heck, even if you're not married now, you can still have photos taken of you, then show them to your future husband-to-be as a gift or surprise. Bottom line, married or not, having photos taken of you is not just a gift to him, but a gift to you as well. Getting the chance to see how captivating you truly are, is a gift in it of itself!!

If you are interested in learning more about my mission, please contact me right away at darice@daricemichelle.com or contact me through my website at Darice Michelle Photography .

Please stayed tuned. I will be posting some photos taken at my boudoir sessions. In the meantime, here are some head shots of Dana. She was my first participant in a boudoir session. I will show you some of her boudoir shots within a week. If you are itching to see at least one or two from her bourdoir session, then scroll down to scratch that itch (smiles).

Please know, that although Dana is so georgous I will be posting photos of women that aren't so "perfect" because I really want you all to see that ALL women are beautiful.

By the way, as beautiful as Dana is, she had several criticims of herself! You see, no matter how "perfect" a woman is, she will always see the "imperfect" way before she sees the "perfect". Sadly, most women may never see the "perfect" in them. But I am hoping to change that. So, please par-take in this great adventure of mine and YOURS.

Just a few boudoir photos to see...

Great pictures Darice. I love it very much. I'm sure the women doing the boudoir session with you will be very pleased with the results. You are a great photographer and it shows in your pictures clearly.
I wish you the best my dear friend

I read about your mission...and the whole article, all you had to say. I was reminded of our conversation last night. You have something important and TRUE to say, regardless of physical appearance...who a woman is, what she thinks, feels, and believes, can make her beautiful or ugly.

You, my dear, are the epitome of....beautiful ;)
your husband, Noel

I am in! I absolutely love the idea :)

I would like to keep this a surpise. My honey travels a lot so it won't be a problem finding time when he is not there. We also have access to the roof which is amazing! We can almost do those "Paris" type photos with lingerie on the roof tops (like Ives Saint Lauren) if you know what I mean. Let me know when you would like to do this! I'm so excited!

I almost asked you before the wedding if you did these. I love that idea! Your pictures always make me feel beautiful and I don't feel as pretty as that in real life, so you'd be the perfect photog to take them! : )
